3 smart insurance New Year’s resolutions
The exercise equipment gathering dust in Canadian’s bedrooms and basements is a familiar sign of the way New Year’s resolutions often are quickly abandoned. But a few resolutions you’ll not only want to make but also stick with involve being more prudent about insurance. That means spending wisely and getting the coverage that matters most. It’s a good idea to start each year by taking stock of your coverage because auto, home, life and other insurance needs change over time — as you move, switch jobs, add to your family, change vehicles and grow older.
When you have to use your insurance, the last thing you want is to learn that you don’t have enough coverage. But you also want to make sure you aren’t carrying more insurance than you really need.
Here are some New Year’s resolutions to help you fine-tune your insurance policies.

ChAD PDUs not showing on your Chambre PDU file?
Deadline for ChAD PDU requirements is Thursday December 31, 2015. As we quickly approach the ChAD deadline, many of our ILScorp ChAD subscribers are wondering why their completed ChAD PDUs are not showing in their PDU File on the Chambre de l’assurance dommages website. Your completed PDUs will not show immediately on the ChAD website as they are updated on a monthly basis. ILScorp sends a report to the Chambre de l’assurnace dommages at beginning of each month, for all PDUs completed in the previous month. For example on December 1, ILScorp submitted a report for all PDUs completed in the month of November. ILScorp will be submitting a report to ChAD in the beginning of January 2016 for all PDUs completed in the month of December, for the December 31, 2015 deadline. Your completed PDUs will be reported in time for the December 31 requirement deadline, and will appear online once the Chambre de l’assurance dommages reviews the report and updates your PDU file. Your license will not be immediately revoked. If you do not have enough PDUs completed by December 31, 2015, ChAD will contact you by the end of January and you will have till MARCH 31, 2016 to complete your missing PDUs.
